The 22nd Monterey Bay Academy Golf Classic is coming soon.
The tournament will be on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Seascape Golf Club in Aptos, California. MBA.
Last year, the Golf Classic drew 72 golfers and 21 sponsors. The breakdown of attendees was as follows:
Fifty-one (51) percent were alumni.
Forty-nine (49) percent were friends.
Sixty-nine (69) percent were sponsored golfers from various businesses and SDA colleges.
Player Package
The tournament fee includes green fees, power cart, BBQ lunch, team photo, goodie bag, and the chance to compete for all contest prizes. Mulligans will be available for $5 each (maximum of two per golfer). Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase.
Registration is $150 per golfer until April 19. After April 19, registration will be $175 per golfer.

Format
Four-person scramble. You must use two (2) drives from each player. If a team only has three (3) players, they may not compete for the low score prizes unless they play as a threesome (no 4th shot).
Who Can Play?
The Monterey Bay Academy Golf Classic is open to all players. You do not have to be affiliated with MBA in order to play.

This year’s event will be at the Seascape Golf Club.

9:30 a.m. — Registration
10.30 a.m. — Putting Contest
11:30 a.m. — Lunch
1 p.m. — Shotgun Start
6 p.m. — Awards, Prizes, and Raffle
Dress Code
Collared shirts, trousers or mid-length shorts, and soft-spike golf shoes.

Putting Contest (Men’s and Women’s) prior to tournament shotgun start
Longest Drive (Men’s and Women’s)
Closest to the Pin (all Par 3’s)
Low Gross Team score (overall – 1st through 3rd places)
Low Net Team score (handicap – 1st through 3rd places)
Team Photos (one for each player)
Lowest Class Score (Perpetual trophy) (all players from the same MBA class)

Let your class spirit shine on the golf course! Find the four best golfers within your class and let them represent at Annual MBA Golf Classic. The lowest scoring class team will get their class year engraved on the perpetual trophy for history to take note.
Corporate Tournament Sponsorship
The financial success of the tournament depends on sponsors like you. The Alumni Office is actively seeking sponsors, and we encourage you to take this step in supporting the cause — the MBA Student Aid Fund. Each year we award over $150,000 in student aid, and the Alumni Golf Tournament is one way in which we raise money for this fund. You could advertise your business, the MBA alums in your family, your class year, or list name(s) as a supporter.
The Opportunity
The tournament will be on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Seascape Golf Club in Aptos, California. MBA is a private boarding academy in La Selva Beach, CA, and other than missing two years due to COVID-19, we have had a golf tournament each year since 2000. The tournament takes place during our annual alumni homecoming. We would be delighted if you would consider providing a sponsorship for this event that features a putting contest, lunch, and a raffle. All proceeds from the tournament go towards the Worthy Student Fund at Monterey Bay Academy.
