An anonymous person shared this story: “Mouthpiece”
We all have our moments of gladness and sadness… and some of us are better than others at hiding our feelings behind our smiles. I was going through a difficult time and thought that I was hiding my “depressed mood” well, but as I went to bed one night, I realized I obviously was not. On my bedside table were two little pieces of scrap paper, and on it in her own 6-year old’s handwriting, was a “medley” of her own version of different memory verses she learned:
“Let not your heart be troubled. God is your Shepherd. I shall not want. Let God help you. He will help you every time. God loves you. He is our strength. God loves you. Don’t feel heavy. God will carry your joke. God will help you anywhere. From God and me. God loves you.”
Needless to say, I couldn’t keep back the tears, as God has just used my little girl to tell me to trust in Him, that He would help me, and that He loves me. Wow!!! Years later… I still stand in awe every time I read it. I am sure that many of you can relate with this story, and can share an incident where a friend you had not spoken to in months sent you a text at just the right moment, or whatever. The fact of the matter is that God uses us as His mouthpiece to tell one
another He loves us, to trust in Him.
Why don’t you try sending an inspirational text to someone – just randomly – you never know how it may touch that person…
